10 November 2009: Last night, Director/General Manager of Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, Philip Newman-Hall was honoured to accept the Condé Nast Johansens Award for The Most Excellent Restaurant 2010. In addition, the restaurant with rooms also picked up the Champagne Taittinger award (special commendation) for the Connoisseurs Wine List and an award for being a finalist in the Hotels & Spas category for Wine list of the year.

Since opening in 1984, Raymond Blanc, OBE and Chef Patron of Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, the property and its loyal team have achieved the highest awards of any restaurant and country house hotel in Great Britain. One of the few restaurants in the world to retain two Michelin stars for 25 years, Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons remains a Mecca for gourmets the world over. 

The Condé Nast Johansens Awards - now celebrating its 28th year - represent feedback from guests as the results are based on responses from nomination forms, survey reports, and their regional inspector reports drawn from the hotels featured in their most recent guides.

Condé Nast Johansens remains the most comprehensive illustrated reference to annually inspected, independently owned hotels.

Philip Newman-Hall commented:
