Keswick Estate is part of one of the most vibrant and exciting communities in the Mid-Atlantic region. Located just minutes from Charlottesville, we are situated in the heart of both Virginia hunt and wine country and surrounded by the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains.

Each season, we will highlight a few of the events you may want to experience and savor during your stay with us. For a full calendar of events year-round, please visit Charlottesville Tourism.

2009 Calendar of Events

Garden Series, April to October (every Saturday) - join top garden and horticulture experts from around the country each Saturday from April through October for Monticello's acclaimed garden series.

The beauty and history of Thomas Jefferson's beloved home come to life through creative workshops, exciting lectures and inspiring nature walks that explore a different topic every Saturday. Subjects range from historic landscape preservation to a spring wildflower hike  to a garden photography workshop. For the 'Saturdays at Monticello' series schedule of dates and topics visit the Monticello website.

Ash Lawn Opera Festival, July to August - every summer, the Ash Lawn Opera Festival offers a unique outdoor series of operatic and musical theater sung in English and performed in the beautiful Boxwood Gardens of Ash Lawn-Highland, home of President James Monroe.

The Summer Festival's opera company, a member of Opera America, Inc, has been recognized by Money Magazine as one of the international top-20 warm weather summer opera companies, boasting "first rank talent, full summer programs and lots of nearby culture". Let Keswick Hall assist you in making reservations during your visit and creating a special picnic for dining on the lawn.
