All prices quoted are subject to tax and service fees and exclude beverages (unless otherwise detailed). Children 12 years and under qualify for child rates where applicable.

Chef Hartman invites you to join him on a journey, exploring culinary specialties from around the world with Orient-Express. Learn how to prepare the Grand Hotel Europe's coulbiac and the Copacabana's feijoada, Brazil's national dish.
In addition, you will learn how to prepare and most importantly sample, the Cipriani's famous bellini as well as other specialty drinks to compliment each of these international favorites.

Rick Britton is a Charlottesville-based historian, cartographer, and historical interpreter. Following a career as a graphic designer, he began writing in the mid 1990s. Since that time he has served as desk editor of the Richmond Times-Dispatch Broadcast News Department, contributing editor of Albemarle Magazine, and editor of the Magazine of Albemarle County History (MACH). Now an award-winning historian with over 200 articles under his belt - the vast majority on the history of Virginia - Rick is the author of Albemarle & Charlottesville: An Illustrated History and 2008's Jefferson: A Monticello Sampler (which was awarded the bronze medal for best non-fiction in the mid-Atlantic region by the Independent Publishers Association). He also teaches classes on the history of Albemarle County, conducts tours of Civil War battlefields, illustrates maps for history books, and is a frequent radio commentator. He lives in northern Albemarle County with his wife, Victoria, and a rather large feline.
Alan Pell Crawford is the author, most recently, of Twilight at Monticello: The Final Years of Thomas Jefferson, a Washington Post bestseller published by Random House in 2008, and Unwise Passions: A True Story of a Remarkable Woman and the First Great Scandal of Eighteenth-Century America, published by Simon & Schuster in 2000. A resident of Richmond, he has written regularly for The Wall Street Journal since 1993. His articles have been published in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, National Review, The Nation and The Weekly Standard. The editor of Impact, the monthly publication of The Public Affairs Council in Washington, D.C., he is also the editorial director of The Bergman Group, a Richmond-based communications firm. He is married to Sally Curran, the editor of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts' membership magazine. They have two sons, Ned and Tim. |
