Day 1 and 2 – The Westcliff Hotel, Johannesburg and surrounds
On arrival in Johannesburg for the start of your adventure, you will be met by an Orient-Express Safaris representative at O.R. Tambo International Airport and assisted with your luggage and immigration forms from the moment you step off the plane.
Transfer by luxury, chauffeur-driven sedan to Johannesburg’s most exclusive resort hotel, The Westcliff for a 2 night stay in a Luxury Room, inclusive of a pre-dinner cocktail at the hotel’s pioneer spirited Polo Lounge, famed for its spectacular panoramic views over the city, followed by a 3 course dinner in the acclaimed La Belle Terrasse restaurant.
During your stay in Johannesburg, experience a personalised ‘New South Africa’ with a full day tour through the eyes of master story teller Robin Binckes, winner of the inaugural Tour Guide of the Year Award for his contribution towards tourism in the Gauteng province. The full day tour is inclusive of lunch and is conducted in a luxury air conditioned vehicle.
Day 3 to 5 – Singita Private Game Reserve – Kruger National Park
Depart Johannesburg in the morning for a scheduled charter flight to the award-winning Singita Private Game Reserve. Located in the Sabi Sand Reserve, spend 3 glorious nights at the Boulders, Ebony, Lebombo or Sweni Lodge, inclusive of three meals per day with traditional outdoor Boma dinners every evening. Enjoy an array of activities from guided bush walks and open Land Rover game drives to fishing and spot-light night game drives.
Your private suite includes an en suite bathroom and shower, outside shower, private swimming pool, double-sided fireplace, mini bar and fridge, room mini safe, air conditioning, overhead fans, private lounge, direct dial telephones and game-viewing deck. Day 6 and 7 - Rovos Rail
Transfer via scheduled charter flight back to Johannesburg where you will once again be met on arrival by an Orient-Express Safaris representative before being transferred by road in a luxury sedan to Pretoria Train Station for your onward journey to Cape Town aboard the Rovos Rail – one of the world’s most luxurious trains in the world!
Travel in a Deluxe Suite aboard the train as you make your way South to Cape Town.
Your journey includes a stop-over in Kimberley, the diamond capital of the world where you will disembark for a guided tour of the Big Hole, the Diamond Museum and take a tram ride before boarding the train again. All meals and beverages are fully inclusive aboard the Rovos Rail. Upgrade to a Royal Suite is at an additional cost.
Day 8 to 10 – Mount Nelson Hotel, Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town station you will be transferred by luxury sedan to the iconic Mount Nelson Hotel for a 3 night stay in a Superior Room, inclusive of full English breakfast daily. The hotel lies on the lower slopes of Table Mountain and is the perfect base from which to explore the region's natural and cultural attractions.
